ARTICULATE (Artists, Industry and Communities Collaborate in Looking At a Future Europe)
Date du début: 1 nov. 2012,

This creative project will bring together four unique street arts and communities arts organisations from four countries - UK, Belgium, France and the Netherlands, to develop an innovative European collaboration in outdoor arts that will explore and develop relationships between culture, communities and industry with a focus on outdoor arts / street arts .It will work across two years with creation and presentation activity taking place in both. As a creative starting point the partners will be asking their communities, artists and industries to imagine a future Europe as they would like to see it. This will inspire a collaborative process resulting in the artistic manifestation of an imagined world combining physical environments/installations with performance elements that is toured across the partners territories. Each time this world is presented across the different locations (and it may be a little different in each) it will interact with audiences, volunteers and creative collaborators and ask people how they would like to ‘change the world’. These interactions and responses will form the basis for a collaborative process in the second year followed by another tour of this ‘new and improved’ world. It is envisaged that the majority of the creation of physical structure will take place in year 1 with the creative development of the ‘world’ in year two focussing more on changing the functionality and animation of the environment. This uses physical resources efficiently while also allowing the partnership to sustain an experimental collaborative process and involve some new collaborators in year two. It also allows communities to see the results of their ideas and input, building interest and a sense of ownership.
