ART EN TERRE DE FAI
Date du début: 18 juin 2014, Date de fin: 17 janv. 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

« Art in Faï Land» is an artistic meet-up which will take place between the 6th and the 21st of July at the welcome center of the farm of Faï, in the Hautes Alpes. This meet-up will bring together 20 young people from 18 to 30 years old, hailing from Netherlands, Spain, Estonia and from France. Over the course of two weeks, participants will create collective and individual works of art using natural elements taken from the surrounding environment: leaves, wood, flowers, natural pigments... Artistic workshops, thematic debates, and collective living will support the creation, collaboration, individual freedom of thought and action, exchange of European cultural diversity, and the discovery of European programmes, which will in turn allow new initiatives to develop. This meet-up will also be an a chance for the participants to immerse themselves in the construction of a local cultural event : FestiFaï, a festival of French song held in conjunction with festival of visual arts. During this exchange, these young people will thus be able to live together with composers and performers at the farm of Faï, and discover their professions and their personal commitment. Lastly, at the time of the "Natural Art Walk" aspect of the festival, the sculptures and works of art created will be on display, along with lights and descriptions, along the path which leads up to the gorges of Gouravour and leads the festival-goers towards Faï on the night of the final show. The artistic workshops will be led by two professionals in the area of Land Art. The leadership methods employed are those inspired by our experiences in the field of international youth workcamps : working WITH the participants, working together, employing the individual talents and skills of each person… Discovery, by means of realizing a concrete and collective goal, force and diversity, learning about others and how that contributes to one's own personal development… Real-life experimentation with the values of solidarity, intercultural dialogue, and mutual assistance. By means of this exchange, we hope to promote the creativity of these young people and give them a place to come together and express themselves while adding a international dimension to a local cultural event organized in a rural location.
