ARIANE 5
Date du début: 1 juin 2016, Date de fin: 31 mai 2018 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The « Ariane 5 » project puts the trainee in the heart of a mobility process, using social and education workers of Brittany’s territory and foreign companies abroad. Run by JTM, which has significant experience in organizing individual European, local and regional work placements or developing job programs abroad, this project follows the Europe strategy 2020 and allows the youngsters who are the farthest from mobility to access training abroad. The objective is to “help young people from Brittany facing difficulties regarding employment or education increase their employability and key-skills”.220 trainees can therefore, make a vocational training activity (EVT) abroad. The Training can take place from September 2016 to April 2018 and can last from 2 to 4 months weeks (regarding the participant’s situation). The target group can be either followed by “pole emploi’ (National Employment agency)”, the “missions locales” or other social workers and school-dropping actor’s, they are between 18 and 30, they are not required any qualifications or professional experience linked to their professional project and they are job seekers or willing to access education. International mobility is then a tool to get back on tracks and taking a positive path. Our project is based on each candidate’s objective. It being an orientation, reorientation phase, or a first professional experience, each project is unique and our support and the host companies’ is adapted to each participant’s profile. Often, the candidates are in a failure spiral (they sometimes lack professional experience and reach difficulties in finding their first job) and they have lost self-confidence. The project allows the participants to work on their own skills in order to be more “employable” or to get into a new training with more confidence in France or abroad. It’s all about valuing the know-how linked with the employment market: ability to adapt to another culture, to integrate a team, discover a new way of working and a new way of thinking work. A work placement is also the opportunity to get a new expertise or to get an orientation after a diploma. At the end of this experience, the trainees come back with brand new self-confidence. It also develops European awareness which values them and their key-competencies. Finally, in total immersion in another European country, they significantly improve their language skills and their capacity to communicate. To conclude, the participants of this program will have all the assets, capacities and means (technical and financial) to commit actively in their professional approach and to use one of the key-skills: the ability to learn which will be useful all along their professional and personal life. This project also allows structuring a social-workers ‘network in Brittany using tools which they agree on the relevance. This new project, a shorter mobility, will contribute to JTM’s strategy. Also the European and international mobility platform of Brittany will give access to the program to every youngster from the region.
