The purpose of the project with working title " Architecture & construction of typical Slovenian hayrack " is to familiarize participants with the Slovenian architectural uniqueness of rural areas, such as architecture and construction of wooden hayrack . We also want to show the Slovenian cultural heritage in experiential way, as participants need to work on theoretical knowledge and practical as well. In 10 days they will have the opportunity to experience and test their practical skills, which will be assembled with lectures, practical workshops, outdoor activities, simulations, discussions and testing of various applications. The participants with the help of professionals from the fields of architecture and processing materials will experience a unique experience in the field of cultural heritage, architecture and social life. In addition, beside the workshop we will organize a one-day excursion and sporting activities. We want participants to gain a memorable experience , consisting of a variety of outdoor activities , mainly taking place in the countryside . We also want the project to recover the reputation of the profession of carpentry, which has in recent years become deficient profession among young people. Narrower objectives are related to the fact that the participants would like to: gain practical knowledge of architecture and wooden structures; acquire the skill of communicating in a foreign language; improve self-esteem and attitude to work; and better knowledge of foreign cultures and values. The main topics of the project are: the active participation of young people; the social development of young people; awareness for the environment; promote awareness and understanding of cultural differences; gain experience with the organization and execution of projects; and learn about common European roots , differences & multiculturalism.
