ECEtt (European Companionship in Education – training by travel) is a European network of knowledge exchange between therapeutic communities for drug addicted persons (www.ecett.eu). The journeyman apprenticeship training method (produced and evaluated by “ECEtt-Pilot 2006-2008”, project funded by “Leonardo da Vinci” Agency) made possible for many European partners of the ECEtt network to exchange knowledge and to build a database of “good practices” about treatment of addicted people, dual diagnosis, vocational training and social rehabilitation. The goal of this project is to allow the continuation of the exchanges and of the construction of the database of “good practices” started in “ECEtt-Pilot”. This “ECEtt-Mobility” project is also associated with the new “Transfer of Innovation” project introduced by ECEtt within “Leonardo da Vinci” 2009-2011. The objective of this last project is the valorization and the dissemination of the journeyman apprenticeship method as well as the articulation between journeyman apprenticeship and academic training (accreditation). The project "ARGO ECEtt mobility" will include members from the staff of Argo, who are in everyday contact with people from vulnerable groups (addicts, ex-prisoners, immigrants) trying to educate them towards a new way of life, using both therapeutic and educative-pedagogical methods. Today, teams facing challenges in addictions, delinquency and exclusion are often faced with the possibility that their methods could fail. To overcome these difficulties in their work, it is necessary to come into contact with experienced colleagues from the same workplace to see how the latter managed to achieve their goals. The project's objectives are: -Transfer of experience between therapeutic communities -The exchange of best practice through international exchanges -Improve and gain knowledge and experience in the field of addiction The expected results are the future implementation of the acquired knowledge and of new pedagogical methods in ARGO, the impact evaluation for service recipients and the formulating of new possibilities.
