This project is entitled: "DEVELOPMENT SKILLS IN AUTOMATION SYSTEMS PLC» and concerned the mobility of 40 students in two streams of initial training of 3rd EPAL Taurus in electrical and engineering disciplines. The students, along with their accompanying teachers, traveled to Spain and Germany. Bodies receptors was AEMIFESA in Spain and UVE in Germany.
More specifically, as regards the purpose of the proposed project arosed from the growing industrial and commercial requirements in recent years that have been for automation. To meet this need, which has been created in the labor market we designed and implemented this list plan.
The Investing in modern automation systems is now a must for the development of industry, after assisting in the production of safety, efficiency, maintaining the quality of the final product. The trainees, on completion of the program, have the opportunity to analyze the existing equipment, the needs and design solutions for every application, developing automation systems offering and know:
- Recording the current situation / operation
- Proposal upgrade,
- Programming production process, with PLC advanced,
- Replace where are necessary sensors, limit switches,
- Building automation panel,
- Checking mechanical equipment,
- Testing and startup,
- Employees training.
The training focused on both theoretical training for operators receptors, and internships - in which he was given particular emphasis - in enterprises or certified laboratories and visits to cultural attractions. The duration of the mobility abroad is satisfactory to meet the training needs of participants while enhancing language and intercultural features of the plan.
Through the project the following objectives were achieved as the trainees:
to come into contact with the structure of a PLC, the unit mounting frame, the feeding unit, the central processing unit, input units - fees
to learn about the working principle and how to develop a system using PLC,
implement programming a PLC,
understand PLC programming languages (LADDER, STL, FBD),
install PLC programming devices,
to realize the importance of lifelong learning to constantly update and enrich their knowledge of PLC automation systems,
to work in an environment with different technologies and know-how,
to improve their language skills through knowledge of at least one foreign language that will enable them to monitor more easily to new developments,
to acquire knowledge, skills and qualifications, which will be certified with European recognition and to facilitate their personal development and increase job placement opportunities in Greece or in a foreign country,
to know the culture and the culture of another European country.
The project will have benefits for everyone involved in mobility, so as to ensure:
Adopting and maintaining standards of quality and internationalization training, applied during the period of mobility both in the host, and by professional bodies visited.
Upgrading the reputation of Epal.
The improvement and modernization of curricula.
Maintaining open communication channels with foreign institutions and enhancing cooperation.
The possibility of recognition and certification of learning outcomes obtained and therefore to ensure integration or reintegration into the labor market in Greece or abroad.
The internationality of the curriculum.
The development and consolidation extroversion culture, communication, collaboration, lifelong learning and quality assurance.
Developing intercultural communication skills.
The promotion and development of linguistic and cultural diversity.
The combination of expertise and know-how regarding the PLC automation systems help to further enhance the quality and European dimension in education.
