The project "Development of Adult Educators Skills employed in the Second Chance School Tylisos Pref. Irakleiou: Implementation of new teaching methodologies in adult education and psychological training on issues related to the school environment" will have a duration of 24 months from the date of its approval.During these 24 months school staff participants will take part in five activities in order to:• Gain knowledge on innovative educational methodologies and learn about their advantages and positive effects• Relate the concept of collaborative learning with everyday life• Strengthen their skills in new technologies• Acquire a positive attitude towards non-formal education as an alternative value that appeals to those who do not have academic goals and are members of vulnerable social groups (target groups in Second Chance Schools)• Acquire ways and tools to trigger creativity and innovation through the acquisition of new knowledge• Be able to positively evaluate the results of this project, to be encouraged to act as multipliers and to cooperate with other adult educators• Make changes in the organization’s quality level • Gain satisfaction in their daily teaching• Adapt teaching and contact with learners using the principles of the Educational PsychologyParticipants in this project will be staff members of the Second Chance School Tylisos Pref. Irakleiou (administration, teachers, psychologists). Staff consists of 20 members and our goal is to involve them all in this project. The selection of participants will be according to criteria laid down by School Headmaster and Vise Headmaster in order to follow transparent and fair procedures.There will be enough time between flows-activities for the balance of school and in order to properly evaluate each activity. In this project we intend to involve all instructors and psychologists in order to gain benefits of this mobility project. The whole organization and management of the project will be done in cooperation with partners and the organization of INEDIVIM.The expected results will appear to the final recipient of this project which are the adult learners in our school. Activities included in the project:• Life Long learning program: structured curriculum for Lifelong Learning programs of the UK education system and the corresponding Second Chance School. Courses for e-learning applications.• School Revolution: structured curriculum for the methodology of the Flipped Classroom and its implementation to adult education• Vitamin C boosts education: structured curriculum for alternative teaching techniques focused on experiential methods• Make technology your friend: structured curriculum for the integration of ICT in teaching courses for adults• Educational Psychology: structured curriculum based on the principles of the Educational Psychology and their application in adult educationThe project management methodology will be based on the agreement with partners. Contact person in the coordinating organization in cooperation with the manager of the central coordinating body (INEDIVIM) will monitor whether the mobility plan is being implemented as agreed, if they kept the timing of the project and whether the responsibilities undertaken by cooperating partners executed according with the cooperation agreement.The positive results and the impact of the project will affect both micro level (school level) and macro-levels (local society organization, national and European level) through the enrichment and diffusion of knowledge and participants' experience in this. The benefits will be manifold: the agency would have a staff undergoing training in innovative teaching methodologies thereby enhancing its prestige and attractiveness. Participants will work both as multipliers of knowledge acquired and as connectors with cooperating partners strengthening the European dimension of lifelong learning.
