Vana-Vigala TTK’s project bears the name “Professional development through Erasmus+ mobility”. The main objective of the afore-mentioned project is to improve the quality of learning through mobilities, improve participants’ knowledge and practical skills, learn from the experience of vocational schools and practice organisations in various European areas, predispose students’ (employees’) international movement, develop students and teachers key competencies of lifelong learning and expand international cooperation. Sub-objectives: contribute in vocational teachers’ professional development through exchanging experiences with colleagues from Germany and Latvia. Improve participants’ understanding of the project partners’ practical work organisation, culture, customs and methods, as well as, increase their vocational competencies and professionality. Provide the opportunity of learning in a foreign country to students with special needs, in order to increase their vocational skills, broaden their mind and develop the ability to communicate and manage independently. The realization of this project is important because it improves the learning and use of foreign languages, teamwork skills and the ability to adapt, independent management and problem solving skills, tolerance and understanding towards other cultures as well as increases confidence, which helps in developing the participant’s future career. Administering Erasmus+ projects is an important factor in increasing school’s sustainability in modernising the curricula and shaping its reputation. Through achieving the objectives of the project and satisfying the needs for training, the project participants will have more knowledge and experience as well as be more motivated to continue their studies in a small countryside school, where possibilities for international cooperation equal to those in larger vocational centres are created.The mobilities of the project have been planned as follows:• Three students (special needs) of finishing work in construction with an accompanying vocational teacher to Latvia• Two students of blacksmithing to Latvia for vocational practice• One blacksmithing student to Finland for vocational practice• Four students from the automotive department to Austria for vocational practice• Two special education teachers to Germany for professional development
