Date du début: 1 juin 2016, Date de fin: 31 mai 2018 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Prevention policies against early school leaving are a priority both in France and in Europe. Ambitious key objectives have been set.National measures to prevent school drop-outs have been presented at the end of year 2015. They are focussed on three ideas :• the involvement of everyone• the choice of early warning• a new chance to get a qualificationIn the Académie Orléans-Tours, professionals have decided to reduce early school leaving, through measures and intervention policies depending on the special needs spotted in each part of the territory (« assure ta rentrée », « micro-lycée », etc.). The project in the Académie Orléans-Tours is called "Assurer la réussite de tous dans le cadre d'une équité renforcée", which means : "Guarantee the success of all pupils through an enhanced equity". It aims to change the education policy through the development of warning systems against drop-outs, and on a larger scale, to reduce gaps created by social, cultural and geographical inequalities. The Académie Orléans-Tours has made the choice of a warning strategy, which is considered better than a compensation policy. The framework of this strategy's guidance and counselling rely on the following designs :• targeting the reasons why pupils leave the school system without a diploma• changing teaching policies consequently,• making school more benevolent• networking with parents• identifying pupils' difficulties and tailoring to their needs.Today, the Académie Orléans-Tours is trying to get engaged into a collective work based on the process started in several European countries, according to the concept of "New Learning Environment". This Erasmus+ project aims to network and enhance each and every one's involvement. It is the result of a collaborative work of all the services of the Académie. It is entitled : "Improving our efficiency to prevent early drop-outs through European countries' experience : ways and strategies to be developped".Within a period of two years, 40 professionals who work on the project will travel throughout 8 European countries where innovative strategies have been noticed. These professionals come from various fields of the education system : school inspectors, heads, teachers, teachers' training consultants, and they will work together within 8 mixed delegations. The plan of these visits will be organized in three steps (preparation, proceedings, development) run by a group of specialists from the Académie and the DAREIC (The Académie's Service for International and European affairs). These will consist in conferences led by local specialists of the intervention strategies against early school drop-outs, interactive schools visits, discussions between education consultants about how to transfer drop-outs prevention policies to the Académie Orléans-Tours. Each delegation will write a report for the Recteur and a college of school inspectors. The conclusions will be communicated to The Europeans partners who will be invited to participate to a meeting in the Académie. These conclusions will also be used to develop future intervention policies and 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 trainings Program in accordance with the Académie's targets in terms of school difficulties and the prevention of early school leaving.
