ALTEA FRANCE SVE 2015 R2
Date du début: 1 août 2015, Date de fin: 31 janv. 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

This project wants to promote the place of the child and to follow him when he is in difficulties. Children and adolescents in situations of physical or mental disability, danger or at risk of being, affected or facing integration problems are at the heart of the project. For adults with disabilities, or those with integration problems, the project promotes the international convention on the rights of disabled people. Our project offers young Europeans interested, the opportunity to intervene with them. It aims to give to the volunteer opportunities through discovery and learning social skills, professional and cultural while raising awareness with which they are involved in cultural, linguistic and European mobility. Our activities are around 3 themes, inserting, disability and exclusion : - 2 living areas and support of young people in great difficulty (single minor or irregular); - 5 associations of children, adolescents and adults with multiple disabilities; - 2 associations fighting against social exclusion. The volunteer will be assisted during the entirety of his project by a tutor in the host and the coordinating organization. He will participate to the staff meetings so he can fully experience how each structure works. Apart from the opportunity for the volunteer to acquire new skills and knowledge in the field of social work and assistance to youth, this project will be a chance to make the local population face a different culture and be exposed to a positive and participative European reality. This project will bring awareness to the locals of European mobility and opening of mind toward one who is different yet so familiar. The youngsters who will be accompanied by the volunteer will be offered a real window on the outside, which is an essential point in the fight against exclusion. On the long term, this will allow to develop the awareness of belonging to the European space and the meaning of European citizenship.
