ALL IS ABOUT UPGRADING THE LEARNER (Herşey ,öğreneni bir üst seviyeye çıkarmak adına)

TERMINÉ
The idea of our project has emerged as a result of the SWOT analysis we implemented in order to determine the needs of our school.
The general objective of our project is to increase the quality of our school in every respect and to make it more international. The specific objectives of our project in accordance with our needs are on academic achievement, use of technology, entegration of special needs children, management, EU projects, professional development of the staff, innovative ideas and foreign language teaching.
In line with those objectives, we have contacted two in-service training courses; one in Finland- the model country in education and the other one in Malta- the model country in language teaching.
The number of participants for those courses is 12 for Finland and 7 for Malta. Our school manager, ICT teacher, Guidance teacher, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths, Literature, Geography and 3 English teachers will participate in the Finnish course. All the English teachers will participate in the course in Malta.
The activities of our project include preparation, implementation and dissemination.
a)Within the first of preparatory activities which are called practical arrangements are the preparations of the course provider(pre-registration/registration, sending the information pack,creating an online community, organising video conferences, providing EUROPASS and the participation certificate) and the preparations of our institution through sharing duties (travel, accommodation, insurance, visa, preparatory meetings and pre-reading activities).
The project management preparations are as before,during and after project. In terms of the quality of the project, the possible risks will be determined and the necessary precautions will be taken; learning agreements will be signed among not only sending and hosting institutions but also the course participants.
b)As to implementation preparations, we have been sent the detailed course programmes by the two course providers. According to those programmes, the first 5 days of the first activity will take place in Helsinki-Finland and the very last 2 days will be in Tallinn-Estonia. The programme of the second course is of 5 days. The contents of the two courses are in accordance with our school’s needs.
c)Dissemination activities will be as internal, external, online and offline, and duties for dissemination will be shared among the team members.
The methodology to be used in carrying out the project is performing project management preparations first as mentioned above and then solving the quality, cost and financial problems which are determined by evaluation and which were unforeseen at the beginning and emerged later during the implementation of the project.
The expected impact of our project is on the personal competences of the participants(communication, language, methods and techniques of teaching, EU projects); the competences of the institution (in accordance with the needs and the development plan of the school); the competences of students( academic, technologic, language and Europeanness); other partners(parents, other schools, Provincial Directorate of National Education, the province of Aydın, Ministry of Education, universities, Turkiye). The potential longer term benefits of all the impact are for the school rising overall quality of it and Europeanisation (which is the general objective of our project); for the students the opportunity to receive a more qualified education; for the society having well educated, more European and more pleased individuals. As the way to achieve all the benefit is through the student that is the learner and all the work is done to support the learner, we thought it would be suitable to give this project of ours the name “ALL IS ABOUT UPGRADING THE LEARNER”.
