The Complex of Schools of Economics in Poznan, as an applicant , has prepared a project entitled "The active and effective on the European labor market", funded by and implemented under the Erasmus+ program. Project assumptions are compatible with community, national and regional legislation, and its objectives correspond with the Europe 2020 Strategy and horizontal guidelines for the years 2014-2020. The project also refers to the European School Development Plant, which assumes, among other things, the creation of conditions for students to actively participate in the European labor market in an intercultural society. There is also an identified, real need to strengthen the professional profile of students from the Complex of Schools of Economics to experience working abroad and its confirmation by a relevant certificate (Europass Mobility).
The project is aimed at 20 students of third classes, educating in the following professions: economic , IT , tourist service , as well as advertising technicians. The participants will include people who, apart from very good progress at school, will be characterized by impeccable behavior, creativity, openness, motivation and enthusiasm for teamwork. On 26.06.2016 – 07.16.2016, the students will leave for a three-week internships to Spoleto, Italy. During the stay, they will participate in tours and activities organized by a partner organization Azzurra. With activities developing entrepreneurship, they will visit a winery and olive oil processing plant. In order to get to know the Italian culture, the students will participate in a theater performance and a trip to Rome and Assisi.
The applicant, through proposed linguistic, cultural and educational support before the trip, will provide comprehensive preparation of the participants to take part in international internships. During internships, the students will keep on co-creating a blog and post pictures on Instagram. Thanks to these modern and youth-familiar mass media, the idea of European internships within the Erasmus+ program will reach a large number of young people. Individually and independently designed mascots of the project will witness students’ stay in Italy. Pictures with the participation of mascots, relationships seen through their eyes will be the main idea of entries on Instagram, blog and prospectus, which will be released upon return. A mascot of the project named Stashek will be announced the mascot of the school (the name refers to the patron Stanislaw Staszic) and will accompany all students in important and interesting events. There will be also an award entitled Stashek of the year, given to the most creative and enterprising student. During the stay in Italy, the participants will work on a task entitled "The beginning of my professional career", and its results will be published in the project prospectus. It will also include accounts of the stay, directions for future participants, interesting memories, list of the necessary Italian words, etc. The methodology used for the implementation of the project is a combination of theory, practical exercises and tasks previously prepared to be performed. These activities will be supported by a mentor acting on behalf of receiving and sending organization, and include: discussions, games, consultations, creative tasks, tests, teamwork, role play and video projections. Independent work on own portfolio and individual presentation will improve self-esteem of the participants. Cooperative updating of the blog and Instagram, animating by mascots, developing the task entitled "My future/ My monthly budget" of the prospectus and multimedia group presentations are all aimed at teaching responsibility for joint work and strengthening human relationships. After coming back to the country a solemn meeting will be held with the representatives of city authorities and other invited guests, during which the Europass Mobility certificates will be handed out. The participants of internships will present multimedia presentations for each profession, and a winner will be announced of an individual presentation entitled "What the internship meant to me". During the meeting there will be presented a blog, Instagram and prospectus, which will be released after the project.Similar meetings will be held also for high school students during the Open Days, as well as for Parents.The implementation of the project will give participants the opportunity to learn new, practical skills, as well as professional, linguistic and social competences. Experience gained in Italy will make the participants aware of the fact that mobility, initiative, entrepreneurship and innovation is the key to professional success. Creativity understood in this way will give the students better chances to successfully enter the European labor market, as well as meet the requirements of a Polish employer expecting a young employee to have experience in intercultural work environment abroad.
