Advancing Performing Arts Project - Performing Europe 2020

APAP– Performing Europe 2020 links 11 leading performing arts organisations from 10 different European countries, and 35 of the most innovative performing artists. The network will support artistic production, create new models of audience development, introduce a new database for the arts world and build a bridge to the Arab world. The program contains:1. Creating an innovative and visible artistic development for the performing arts, especially by supporting artists and projects with a high level of outreach in connecting and involving audiences and the social and political constellations of contemporary society2. Accomplishing a substantial progress in understanding and developing public acceptance of the performing arts, by setting up common tools for audience development on a European level, designed by specialists of ABC (Brussels)3. Reaching a new level of business development for the organizations by implementing new business models in the cultural field4. Accessing a unique tool for documenting and archiving artistic processes and outputs (CORE – cultural online resource of education) designed by the University of Salzburg to improve distribution and scientific research of contemporary performing arts5. Starting collaborations with 8 Arab countries to build sustainable connections through artistic activities into the area that will shape our future.6. Enhancing the communication with a rotating responsibility and a new monitoring system.7. Optimising the network collaboration with an advanced exchange, know-how transfer, thematic labs and meetings.Performing Europe 2020 connects all these parts of the programme structurally, and brings them into a maximum level of synergy. The program uses the expertise of specialists to improve. It communicates the results and models to audiences, media, artist and experts. APAP is committed to reflect the fundamental changes of our time and react with developing strategies to improve and strengthen our society.
