Adaptability of renewable energy resources in Latgale region, Utena and Panev?žys counties (Renewable energy)
Date du début: 31 janv. 2011, Date de fin: 30 juil. 2012 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Energy generation from renewable energy resources is by far insufficient to satisfy the energy demand in Latvia and Lithuania, where mostly non-renewable energy resources are used. Project will explore the ways of using natural power and making peoples lives more comfortable and healthier. Investments planned for five project partners correspond to the need of exploring new energy types to help implement them quicker. The installation of renewable energy resource systems will have a positive impact on the environment and will decrease the amount of harmful gas emissions spreading in the atmosphere. The costs for heating of buildings will go down, as well. It is foreseen that the project will have a positive impact on the owners of other buildings, encouraging them to use the sources of alternative energy. It is planned to install geothermal heating systems and sun collectors for reheating of running water in some public buildings, and install poster stands with solar panels, LED lighting poles with solar panels and wind turbines. Other project outputs include technical designs for geothermal heating systems for different series of apartment houses, technical designs for some schools and public buildings with geothermal heating systems. The thermograph kit for detecting problematic areas in the buildings will also be purchased. A new website www.greenbuildings.lv (www.zalienami.lv) will provide information about all project activities.
