The objective of the project is to develop new active probes to increase the sensitivity, the frequency range, the resolution and the accuracy of near field electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) measurements, required by automotive, aerospace and telecommunication industries. The novel probes will incorporate wideband antennas and ultra low noise monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) amplifiers. Effective near field calibration methods and calibration circuits will be developed and the performance of the upgraded EMC test bench at Rouen will be experimentally validated using example subsystems from industry.
