Acquiring Competences and Skills in Europe
Date du début: 1 juin 2016, Date de fin: 31 mai 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

ACSE -Acquiring Competences and Skills in Europe is the Erasmus+ mobility project of Andrássy György Catholic Business Academy of Eger for vocational students. Our institution has been actively participating in EU funded mobility projects since 2008 and more than 150 of our students have done their on-the-job training at our international partner institutions. It is our objective to offer this opportunity to our students in the future as well. In this two-year project we would like to ensure this possibility for 28 students, which 25% more than in previous years. We are planning 12 motilities to Finland, 8 motilities to Germany, 4 mobilizes to the Netherlands and 4 motilities to Norway. The most important outcome of the project is the professional development of our vocational students, that they are able to acquire real life work experiences and develop their personal, language, and social skills and competences. Our students can apply from all of our vocational groups, that is, from the Economics, Commerce and Tourism classes. Our partners are vocational educational institutions in Finland, Germany, the Netherlands and Norway. They all have gained plenty of experiences in organising on-the-job training. The participants of our project will take part in a 50-hour preparatory course, during which they will become acquainted with the cultural, social features of the target country, and will boost their professional and language skills. After all these, they will do their one-month training in one of our partner institutions. We recognise their training and after meeting the requirements they are exempted from attending certain vocational classes and their results are counted in their final marks. Monitoring and evaluation will be carried out by the accompanying teachers and / or the coordinators of our partner institutions on a unified evaluation sheet. During their mobility the students will write a work diary and a journal. The students will report on their experiences in a closing event and we will invite their fellow-students, teachers, family members, as well as the representatives of the local media and of the Heves County Chamber of Commerce and Industry. We are also planning to invite the representative of the Archdiocese of Eger.We will deem it a successful project when our students return home real life work experiences, better language and social skills and competences. On the long run we consider the project successful if the on-the-job trainings organised abroad make Andrássy more attractive for primary school students. On the output, however, we want our students to become a better educated, higher-skilled workforce. It is also our long term goal to modernise our vocational training based on the European examples and good practices.
