In this historical period in which European policies are showing their weakness facing global economic and social challenges and national interests seem to jeopardise European Unity inspired by the founding fathers, it is urgent to re-launch the debate on European issues. The project “Academic Agora for the Future of Europe” (Acronym: Agorà UE) will support CIME statutory activities and objectives of increasing quality debate on European issues while providing policy-makers at national and European level with comprehensive analysis to address the governance of European policies. The Agora Europe project will address the lack of a comprehensive, updated and permanent database and platform of discussions among experts on European issues linking together the academic world and institutions at the service of the national institutions and most relevant bodies committed in European policies-making.The project will develop the following activities:-Creation of an Academic database and think thank of the most relevant professional profiles related to European matters and politics (Professors, Doctors, Researchers, Experts at national and European level). -Setting up the Agora Europe to foster structured and permanent interdisciplinary dialogue among the academic world and institutions within the Agora coordinated by the CIME through the organization of three annual Agora Europe conference. The Agora Members will convene once a year in Accademia dei Lincei, in Rome. -Implementation of the “Europe in your University” initiative through the organization of three thematic University seminars per year (9 seminars) and three webinars to foster excellence in education on European issues.- Promotion and creation of the Italian Network of Knowledge on European Studies which will develop didactic and research activities on European issues after the end of the project.- Dissemination activities through website, the Unieuropa newsletter, education platform, a pamphlet.
