Able like you II
Date du début: 1 avr. 2014,

Able like you II is the second edition of the EVS project Able like you & it will take place in Palermo involving 24 volunteers divided into 2 groups carrying a service period of 9 months each & coming from four European countries: Hungary, France, Austria & Spain. As the first project edition, Able like you II focuses on disability theme & will involve the volunteers in different local projects with disable people that CESIE carries with its local staff. The presence of volunteers will bring an added value to the activities organized thanks to the fact that: the target groups benefit from the presence of international young people in terms of positive and strong impact on their moods and coping strategies & the intercultural aspects, which the volunteers bring, enrich local staff and disabled increasing the quality of the educative work. The volunteers are sensitized to this topic & are asked to give their personal contribution to this important human and social context often neglected. CESIE aims to reduce any form of exclusion & would continue its activities and commitment in this field supporting disable people inside its local projects &the volunteers will be protagonist of a process of social integration that already started with the previous project. The involvement of the volunteers will be incorporated in entertainment and pedagogical activities such as theater, music, sport, which are the best means of their captivation and engagement. Able like you II is an opportunity for all the actors involved to be part of a social learning process that will permit an inclusive society. The volunteers with the help of the local staff will conduct outdoor and indoor activities through formal and non-formal methods such as “learning by doing”, and collaborative and cooperative learning in a group. The project is developed from CESIE’s work at local level and from CESIE’s previous projects that gave the opportunity to understand how it is important to be active
