AAA citizens finding
Date du début: 1 août 2014, Date de fin: 1 avr. 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

AAA actors finding is our Youth Exchange, organized by the Croatian NGO "Association of the Deaf and hard of hearing", supported by the new Euopean Program for Education, Sport and Youth, Erasmus +: Youth in Action. The project lasts 8 months, with preparation phase, actual activity days, evaluation and finalization of the result and dissemination and follow up projects, also at local level. It gathers 38 youngsters in Nova Gradiska, Croatia, involving 6 youth NGOs from all over Europe; particularly there are 6 prepared groups, composed by 4 young people, supported by a group leader, for each partner NGO that will be followed by our facilitator and support team too. All the group is living together for a week, hosted by our beautiful town, gaining new skills for self-development, reflecting on their social behaviour and the role of a good active citizen both in their own communities, discovering the value of European Union and how to promote it, helping the construction of a European citizenship feeling without borders. Our youth exchange wants to support self expression and development, thanks to different theatre methods and some creative workshops realized according to non-formal learning methods and principles, aiming to break stereotypes and personal barriers, in order to foster democracy, tolerance and inclusion in Europe. Moreover it's a great chance to promote and start working on project in Erasmus+ programme framework, among different target groups of youngsters and to make it visible in our communities, boosting also online tools for promotion. We will highlight the power of non-formal learning, choosing a wide range of methods that support participant's creativity and performing arts; we also encourage the use of social media tools for social promotion, interaction and learning, enhance the spreading of information before the activity days and the dissemination of all the outcomes. Theatre tecniques were choosed as tool because they help knowing themselves, developing self esteem, boosting the learning process and foster conscious and unconscious expression of several skills. The participatory approach is also a key method which will enable young people to take an active part in any step of our project at all stages of its development. Most of the activities in the project aim at stimulating young partecipants' spirit of initiative, their ability to think imaginatively and originally and their readiness to take risk and to be active. The planned activities are: energizers, ice breakers, getting to know each others, social games, outdoor activities, working in small groups, team building activities to build group dynamics. Cultural nights from each country, to discover more about European cultures and countries. Discussion on values, theatre techniques (introduction, warm-ups, experimental theatre, stand-up theatre, pantomime, forum theatre), workshops on active participation, volunteering, European citizenship, intercultural learning, simulations and games to work on the concept of the meaning of being a good European citizen. We arrange reflection groups, youth pass session and evaluation to reflect on their own learning and get a feed-back of the project. The biggest challenge is the implementation of a street action, according to participants' needs and ideas, where everybody will perform on the street, tackling the main topics of the youth exchange, involving the local community and working actively in the promotion of good practices. The whole performance will be recorded and broadcast on the web. Moreover, we present E+:Youth in Action, discussioning on future projects in order to power up young citizens, building new partnership and cooperation among NGO. As concret outcome, we are planning to create a leaflet about European citizenship, with at least one activities that participants will make up during the exchange, that we will send to schools and partner NGOs.
