A World of Opportunities The title of this mobility project, “A World of Opportunities”, is intended to summarize what it may mean to all the stakeholders. First of all, by the opportunities that can be enjoyed by our students that have just finished their vocational course, not only because of this international experience and its contact with new ways of working, but also the opportunity of having access to new technologies, contact with a new culture and language improvement. But even more important is the fact that most of our students come from poor families and this means a great opportunity, allowing them to access in an equal way to this international experience that will value in terms of acquisition of technical and personal skills, enriching their curricula and enhancing their integration and growth in the labour work. Then the opportunities that the development of this mobility project can create for Escola Tecnológica, Artística e Profissional de Pombal (ETAP), not only resulting from the exchange of experiences between project partners but also by enhancing long-term relations that can allow access to a wider network of contacts and the development of similar projects or even of another nature, but also by feedback from students on building needs and / or change educational strategies adopted by the School. Our partners can also explore new opportunities that may arise with this project, in particular through the contact with newly graduated young people with an attitude often disruptive and with a thought "out of the box", who can take into those foreign companies, where they will get their training, the ways they have learned to work and are applied in companies of Pombal region, many of them prestigious suppliers of French and Spanish companies. This may also potentiate opportunities to our partners that may arise in the medium and long term, including through the integration of trainees in companies in the region, by the facilitating role they may have from companies that has one day welcomed them for a training period. This will also be very positive to our local companies that will get access to new markets as well as the possibility of hiring workers with international experience. The implementation of this mobility project will include the placement of six newly graduated students from the Vocational courses of Tourism, Mechatronics Technician and Automobile Mechatronics Technician in institutions of the district of Paris (France) and Barcelona (Spain) for a period of six months, but also for carrying out multiple actions related to language training, multicultural conferences and workshops to share experiences and actions for the approach and connection of local and regional companies to foreign entities with which the school has made and will make partnerships . In furtherance of this aim, were established two strategic partnerships, one with the "Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie Franco-Portugais" which is a business association with about 400 member companies, representing the largest French-Portuguese business network with multiple sectors companies and one with "I + ED Lab" which is an entity based in Barcelona, dedicated to research and innovation in the automobile area of recognized merit, which is an important partner for the development of skills of our students in the area Automobile Mechatronics. We believe the success and the strong impact of this project will be greater the more opportunities are taken advantage of by all stakeholders in the project and the greater its influence on the development of enterprises in the region is.
