A Step in Plus
Date du début: 1 févr. 2015, Date de fin: 31 janv. 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The project "A Step in Plus" has emerged from the will to offer to European youth, youth workers and organizations active in the youth field the opportunity to gain useful life skills and transversal key competences, to empower their role in the civil society and to fight early school leaving and the causes of youth unemployment. Project partners - Asociatia Lumea lui Pinocchio (Panciu, Romania) and IBO Italia (Ferrara, Italia) - choosed non formal education methods as privileged tools in this sense. The project's main objectives are: - to use different non-formal education methods to make young people discover, develop and take advantage of useful skills and competences for the insertion in the labour market and for the prevention of unemployment phenomena; - to develop young people's human, social and professional capital, making them more and more active as citizens and civil society representatives. For the achievement of the mentioned objectives, one mobility action has been realized: - one EVS involving an Italian volunteer, Veronica Brescianini, for 7 months of service (02/04/15 - 02/11/15) in the educational sector of the Daily Socio-Educational Centre Pinocchio (Panciu, Romania) and also realizing other educational activities in some local centres/services which are not used to work through non formal education; The implemented working methods included intercultural meetings and participatory methodology, learning by doing, on-the-job learning and development, brainstorming and group discussions. Since the planned actions foresaw the involvement of different Italian and Romanian stakeholders (civil society organizations and public authorities active in the youth field), they easily reached a wide dissemination of project's results. Many public events, press articles, a photographic album have been envisaged. The project will have a positive impact not only with the participant direclty involved in the planned actions, but also on the beneficiaries of the different realities indirectly involved in the activities. The hope and the scope is that, on the long run, the mobility action of "A Step in Plus" will be the basis for possible future projects and initiatives in the European youth field.
