A platform for SHaring And Re/Presenting
Date du début: 1 nov. 2009,

“A Platform for Sharing and Re/Presenting” is proposed by a huge partnership with rich skills in ICT, education and training. It aims to create an innovative web platform, where multimedia products, realised in each context to re/present and document each area’s identities, memories and environmental themes, can be uploaded, shared and manipulated. Audio/video materials can then be created by collaboratively editing online each context’s materials. Initially, drawing on partners’ skills in the 3 areas mentioned, training packages will be created. A centralised training programme will trial and validate these for trainers/educators in each sector (i.e. schools/ universities/ groups of young people & adults at risk of social or territorial marginalisation or of the ‘digital divide’). As multipliers, these trainers will lead courses in their own areas matched to specific contexts and target groups. Workshop activities will then involve the various target groups, recruited and trained in ICT use by creating the identified multimedia materials. The working outcome for this developing ICT use will be a territorial empowerment path: set in their own locality, participants will gain a constructive awareness of their own locality’s specific culture and identity. Thanks to the web platform, they can then interact with how others across Europe, see their own territory’s cultural character. These client groups will gain opportunities both to understand their local area and to act within it as more aware individuals. As they do, they will also be able to interact with partners in other countries through sharing how they too represent their own territorial issues, enabling these themes to be co-constructed at a European level. A kind of retro-active feedback in the form of awareness raising initiatives and cultural events devised on the basis of the materials realised via the web platform will contribute to each partner’s own environmental and socio-cultural life improvement.
