Roma Active Albania would like to give an opportunity to the youngsters which are coming from different countries to learn more about roma minority,Albanian culture,and traditions in order to break down the prejudices and stereotypes that might exists.As the volunteers will be Roma and non Roma youngsters,this will give the possibilities to network and be more sensitive for each one realities and way of livings.We are aiming at giving out volunteers’ intense and creative experience and provide them a chance to meet people from different social and cultural backgrounds,and to gain an experience of intercultural communication and teamwork. We will involve them in the Women Empowerment Campaign and "Roma React mapping tool" (an online platform mapping discrimination cases toward Roma people).We plan the volunteer to work 35 hours per week. The volunteer will follow a clear schedule of daily work adapted to the volunteers needs and the activities they will be involved in, as well other activities that may arise. EV will undergo a training process in making them more familiar with our organisation and communities.Work will consist in:- Community and local authorities meetings (discussing and developing initiatives with roma grassroots, municipality, school , directory of education etc)- Researches / case studies for Roma issues- Presenting EVS to local communities- Writing preparing articles for the website, the youth magazine, the booklets, leaflets and other RAA publications- Assist RAA in Planning and organising youth activities, and advocacy action- Assist roma youth network in their activities (street action, conferences, youth policy analyze, public debates, creative action)- Assist RAA staff in further developing youth strategy- Participating in youth meeting organized by RAA partners or the networks (ERGO & TERNYPE)- Participating in the activities of Regional officesLanguage course• Albanian • Romani language (up to the will of volunteers)
