The project "A PILL OF CINEMA" combines social issues to the audiovisual media, in order to promote diversity and fight discrimination. Specifically, the purpose of the project is to highlight the role of new generations in promoting tolerance and integration.The project aims to promote intercultural dialogue, to raise awareness among young people about freedom of expression, to promote social inclusion and respect for others, to prevent and fight all forms of discrimination.Using cinema as the main tool of non-formal education (through discussions, brainstorming, the use of video and in particular the technique of "Minute Lumiere") it aims to fight against racism and discrimination.The specific objectives of the project are:- To encourage and support the young participants to prevent and fight against all forms of discrimination;- to raise awareness among young people about discrimination issues through audiovisual medias. It will be considered and encouraged the use of social networks and Web 2.0 tools to communicate and convey the message;- to strengthen the critical thinking of young people, in particular regarding the use of social networks and the Internet;- to explore the use of video, particularly the technique of "minute Lumiere" as a tool of emotional involvement to create a video produced by the young participants and direct to their peers, aimed to promote non-discrimination at European level;- to get in contact young people from different European contexts, encouraging the exchange of opinions, experiences and ideas related to the topic.The project will enable 30 young people aged between 18 and 25 years old, coming from five European countries (Italy, Romania, France, Lithuania and Belgium), to realize an awareness video about diversity and discrimination, supporting young participants to exchange their points of view on the subject.
