Apprentis d'Auteuil, by means of its Direction International and Prospective, leads actions in Romania since more than decade, around projects financed by the former European programs Youth in Action, Comenius, Leonardo but also by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs within the framework of educational Actions of international solidarity. Apprentis d'Auteuil wishes to develop the actions of mobilities for the young people it welcomes. It indeed seems to us imperative to develop their mobility to accompany at best their social and professional insertion. These European exchanges in particular aim i at allowing them to establish social links in another culture, to develop their open-mindedness and can urge them to take initiatives. Besides, by working with the association Gipsy Eye, Apprentices d'Auteuil wishes to rest its action, in particular around the inclusion of the Roma. This exchange will moreover allow the French young people and the young Rumanian to know better the Gipsy culture. A different look will be probably put on the Gipsy population. The partnership with Gipsy Eye is now two years old. This project aims at being the continuity of a partnership which joins over time, in particular with children home Jean Bosco and children home saint Sébastien. The participants in this exchange are young people and social workers of these establishments, young people of the village of Sodoméni, and volunteers of the association Gipsy Eye. So the group will consist of 32 people, girls and boys, French, Roma and Rumanian, 8 social workers and 24 young people. For the realization of this project, a preparatory visit was organized in February / March, 2014. It is followed by an important phase of preparation of a few months with the young people. The objective is to create a group dynamics around this project while working the administrative, sanitary, cultural preparation as well as research for financing. In July, the project will take place. To the program, the opening on the country, the culture and the Roma customs: they will go to meet local craftsmen, will exchange on their respective living conditions, will realize together the visits of the cultural sites and the history of the region. Soaked with these discoveries, with a Rumanian artist, they will realize a fresco for the primary school of Sodoméni, inaugurated during a party of the end of stay. The group will be accommodated in the house of the association in rooms of 4/5 people. The meals will be realized directly on the spot by the young people in connection with a cook. In September, a phase of return of the project is planned, phase which allows to emphasize the investment of the young people, to resume with them the elements of success and the learnings acquired through this project. It will be the moment to communicate on the project and its realizations.
