a) MARKVISS is a need-analysis method originally developed within the stakeholder’s organization of the Danish industry and its unions. This approach involves working systematically in human resource development within companies and institutions and has been used widely in Icelandic companies since 2001. MARKVISS is a process starting with goal setting and assessment. The process makes it possible to establish what the workplace needs in respect to human resource development. The need for added competences of the personnel is assessed and established how to fulfil them. Then the actual human resource development starts and the is assessed in the respect of efficiency. New opportunities are developed in relation with this development. A changing workplace needs new assessments and therefore it is an on-going cycle. The MARKVISS approach is based on the principle of working with the employees within the workplace, a focus group is formed and is a cross section of the workplace to assure all views and opinions within the company are presented. With MARKVISS the main object is to develop and work with the aspects of the workplace involving job training, courses, seminars, and whatever connected with the empowerment of the workplace in the widest sense. MARKVISS gives administrates and employees a chance to assess the need for training and competence empowerment of the workplace and organize each employee‘s empowerment in correlation with this. (MARKVISS e.d.) When the process is over, a training programme is adjusted for the workplace which builds on the results of the analysis. It is important that the training programme involves the aims of the training and how to reach them. b) The name of the training material is HELP start and is written by a Swedish teacher, Malin Holmberg. The material consists of six reading books accompanied with work books (level A-F), boards, extra material; exercises, reading material, surveys ect. And also IT interactive exercises. The material and the ideology consists of phonology with imagery and is very suitable for dyslexic students or those who have trouble reading or writing English The aim of this training material is to enhance the abilities to practise English and make further studies more accesssible within educational facilities and also on daily basis where more competences are aquired in second languges and especially in English. The ideology of HELP start is founded on varied methods where the participant uses the material from different perceptions. Each letter is graphically tied and also each sound which is emphsised by using special handmovements. This varied perception helps the participant to get more connection with the language and is able to read , connect and remember. The exercises from the material are done by the supervision of the trainer and also from interactive IT material. This new and variable method has proven very efficient with participants, training facilities and schools in Sweden and Denmark have been very positive towards this ideology and material.
