A cross-sectoral Valorisation Framework for the Lifelong Learning Strategy in Sport
Date du début: 1 nov. 2011,
Sport is a people-facing sector, where the engagement of others, whether this is at the grass roots or high performance end of the spectrum, is paramount to its success. Sport is ingrained across all communities, affecting a large percentage of the population, and is used to address wider agendas incl. health, culture, tourism, youth, social & education. To meet these challenges, it is crucial that those working in the sector are equipped with the right skills through adapted qualifications. As the sector continues to grow, employers often have difficulties to find competent & qualified employees able to match the requirements of a demanding clientele. To respond to those realities, recently through EQF-Sport project, a common Lifelong Learning Strategy for the Sport sector was developed to:- promote transparent & flexible education/training system, clear learning/career pathways- develop a competent workforce with right skills/competences- link education & employment- develop mobility, transparency & mutual trust of qualificationsSince 2008, the Strategy has been piloted through several EU projects such as LLL Sport, Disability Sport & Volunteering & through other sectors: Fitness, Outdoors & Golf. The key aim of VSPORT+ is now to develop a Cross Sectoral Valorisation Framework to ensure successful dissemination activities but also to support the transfer & implementation of the Strategy at sectoral, EU, National, Regional, Local & International levels.Key outcomes:- A range of mechanisms/tools for successful valorisation at all levels- Specific leaflets / target groups- Training of 12 National Valorisation Ambassadors- Valorisation seminars- EU Final Conference- Cross Sectoral Valorisation Framework for the LLL Sport Strategy with an action plan for the future. In support of the E&T 2020 and White Paper on Sport, this work is crucial to target “More people, better skilled, better qualified” & introduce changes into national VET systems & policies.
