Background
The project targets three main pollutants, Benzene, 1,3-butadiene and methylterbutylether (MTBE), which are volatile organic compounds (VOCs) emitted by gasoline engine powered vehicles. The last two are emerging pollutants to be taken into consideration by the EC.
