Målet med projekt är att det öppna tjänsteneutrala nätet mellan Västerbotten och Österbotten ska leda till ett större antal konkurrerande tjänsteleverantörer och teleoperatörer. Förbindelsen mellan Umeå och Vasa ska vara i drift 2005-11-30.Med hjälp av denna förbindelse ska projektet utveckla och hitta former för att ansluta tjänster och kunder samt testköra med provanvändare.
