56 th ZLIN FILM FESTIVAL - The International Film Festival for Children and Youth
Date du début: 27 sept. 2015, Date de fin: 27 sept. 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The Zlín Film Festival – International Film Festival for Children and Youth (hereafter ZFF) is unique; it's the oldest and currently largest film festival of its kind in the world. The festival takes place at several venues in Zlín and other towns in the Czech Republic. Its focus makes it an entirely unique project within the Czech Republic. In 2015 the festival introduced 363 films from 52 countries from around the world and was attended by over 120 thousand visitors. ZFF organizes extensive supporting, expert and charitable programmes. The film program handles more than 3,000 submitted films from over the world. It is necessary to deal with all of the selected films (about 360), which means transporting the film media, translations, putting them into the catalog, cinema programming, presenting them in the programme, and inviting guests. Our annual focus on films from a particular European country (next year France) can almost be considered a separate festival; we showcase approximately 40 feature films from that country. The festival's film program presents nearly 200 film premieres within the territory of the Czech Republic. A substantial part of the budget for the programming department goes to screening fees, which continues to rise every year. ZFF systematically works to expand film literacy in children and youth. Festival screenings enable thousands of young cinema-goers to see movies beyond the reach of normal distribution networks. School screenings represent approximately 50% of the total attendance and are free.Zlin Film Festival's mission is to present current film productions made worldwide for children and young people and their face-off against commonly available audiovisual offers. An important aspect of the festival is its effort not only to entertain young audiences and bring them joy, but also to educate them through the medium of film, expand their awareness of the outside world, and to develop their aesthetic, social, and moral feelings.
