The project strategy is developed by giving a stress on fostering the strengths and use of the potential opportunities of the two border regions - their natural, historical and cultural heritage by taking into account cross-border needs and opportunities for cooperation between the two institutions. The main point and strategy of the project is creation of right, positive, perspective and effective presentation and promotion of the cross-border regions’ heritages and ensuring of sustainable tourism development in the border areas. The project partners are using of modern technologies and promotional methods for presentation of natural, historical and cultural heritages in the cross-border area. Achievements: The project promoted preservation of natural, historical and cultural values in Kirklareli and Burgas cross-border region.The project increased tourism potential in both regions through gathering information for natural, historical and cultural heritage in Kirklareli and Burgas. The information has been published in series of booklets named “The sights and heritages of Kirklareli and Burgas”. Three reports in five languages for tourism opportunities in cross border regions have been issued.A web page – www.heritages.info and a promotional film have been developed. The project has been successfully accomplished in September 2012.
