We had 3 main activities 1) One-Week Stay-On conference in Ennis; Ireland. The host organisation was Clare Education Centre. PIC: 947684569 We sent two participants from Vågen vgs.: Inger Uberg, Head of Department and Åshild Fidje, teamleader / teacher. Both represented the target group of our students. The main objective was inclusion and combating early school leaving. The Activities undertaken was lectures, excurisons and cross national workshops to share experiencens and develop joint new methods. The impact in our school as a direct result of this conference was to focus on better and more inclusive attitudes towards students in the risky zone of school leaving and to re-organize our teaching staff to make a better learning environment for these students. Our Student survey tool, PULS, showed that there were less drop-outs the following year. 2) One week in-service training course: Manage Safely in Cyprus The host organisation was DOREA Educational Institute WTF. PIC: 948488893 We sent one participant: Morten Amundsen, Head of Department, responsible for safety issues at Vågen vgs. The main objective was improving safety concience and routines at Vågen vgs. The activities undertaken was lectures, excurisons and workshops to share experiencens and develop joint new methods. The impact in our school as a direct result of this course was to carefully examine all our safety routines in the group who is dealing with these matters at Vågen vgs. The results were presented to our entire staff and are now implemented in our organisation. 3) Two week in-service German Language training course in Austria. The host organisation was Kultur Kontakt, Austria. PIC: 942212411 We sent one participant: Tone Tjørstad, German teacher. The main objective was to get a deeper understanding of Austrian society and culture and general up-keeing of the German language. The activities undertaken was lectures, excurisons and workshops to share experiencens and develop new methods of teaching German language. The impact in our school as a direct result of this course was that Tone Tjørstad presented and shared her experiences from the course to the network of foreign language teacher at Vågen vgs. Naturally she also practises her newly achieved learning in her own classes.
