The general objective of the information provision and promotion measures is to enhance the competitiveness of the Union agricultural sector.
This topic covers Information provision and promotion programmes targeting geographical areas other than those included under Topics 3, 4 and 5.
The objectives of these programmes should comply with the general and specific objectives set out in Article 2 of Regulation (EU) No 1144/2014.
Programmes under this topic shall not cover milk/dairy products, pig meat products, beef products or a combination of these three (as defined under Topic 7 and 8). They may however cover these products if they are associated with other agri-food products.
The expected ultimate impact is to enhance the competitiveness and consumption of Union agri-food products, raise their profile and increase their market share in the target countries.
Financial support is provided to one or more organisations from the same member state representative of various agricultural sectors on the member state level in order to implement information and promotion campaigns on third countries.
Information and promotion programmes shall consist of a coherent set of operations and shall be implemented over a period of one to three years. They shall in particular consist of public relations work and information campaigns. They may also take form of participation in events, fairs and exhibitions of national, European and international importance.
