MOSAIC // Culture & Creativity
MOSAIC // Culture & Creativity is a Greek Social Enterprise established in the city of Patras in August 2018. Its primary objective is the promotion, the empowerment, the capacity building, the audience Development and the extroversion of Cultural and Creative Organizations in Greece and the study and monitoring of the Cultural and Creative Sector and its contribution to local development, the economy and social cohesion.
It encourages Cultural and Social Innovation and Creative Entrepreneurship by supporting and guiding creative business and start-ups, developing local regional and international synergies and creating alternative ways of networking and co-operation between creative actors, businesses and the public.
At MOSAIC, we’ve designed and developed a range of activities addressed to the Cultural and Creative Organizations, the Artists and the Civil Society in general. More specifically:
MOSAIC INCUBATOR
Capitalising the knowledge and experience of our team and our collaborating consultants, MOSAIC INCUBATOR provides personalized guidance and counselling, in order to develop, improve and transform early stage concepts and initial ideas into high-innovation and social impact business ventures, giving them the conditions for extroversion and international synergies.
MOSAIC TRAINING
Within the framework of MOSAIC TRAINING, we organise and host various training activities, focusing on Cultural Management, Cultural Entrepreneurship and Creative Economy. Seminars, Workshops, Master-Classes, Summer-Schools, Boot-Camps and Residencies for Arts and Culture, based on participatory planning and having transnational dimension and participation, are on the monthly schedule.
MOSAIC RESEARCH
Through MOSAIC RESEARCH we are studying current issues for the arts, culture, creativity and innovation, identifying and highlighting opportunities at regional and national level and proposing sustainable and viable policies and strategies. We map out the potential and dynamics of each industry and transfer ideas and good practices from other areas or countries.
MOSAIC CONSULTING
MOSAIC CONSULTING provides high quality Consulting and Studying Services related to Cultural Management, Strategic Planning, Mapping and expoitation of the local Creative Economy for both Local Government and Public Organizations as well as for cultural organizations and private sector groups.
MOSAIC EVENTS
MOSAIC EVENTS are networking and collaboration tools for cultural and creative institutions in local, regional and national level and for private and public stakeholders in general. We create an efficient environment and the conditions needed for a stable framework of creative synergies to produce a high-quality and innovative cultural product.
MOSAIC HUB (*TBA)
MOSAIC HUB will be a modern collaborative space, a community of creative professionals and businesses, and will operate in Patras, "housing" individuals and start-ups from different artistic and cultural backgrounds and complementary creative industries, emphasizing on the development of cultural entrepreneurship, creative economy and social innovation .
Although a newly founded organisation, MOSAIC // Culture & Creativity is already cooperating with major public and private entities and institutes in Greece. Currently MOSAIC has been commissioned by the Region of Western Greece and the Chamber of Commerce of Achaia Region, under the EU funded project SPARC, to deliver a detailed mapping survey and context analysis of the Culture and Creative Sector in the Western Greece (under development)
In addition, MOSAIC is a Sponsor in the Entrepreneurship Innovation Contest organised by the Hellenic Open University and the Technical University of Western Greece, offering mentoring, coaching and counselling sessions to the winning start-ups coming from the field of Culture and ;
