Objectives:1. Preserve most significant cultural heritages – selected cathedrals in the Uzhgorod - The Holy Cross Exaltation, Greek-catholic cathedral, and Košice St. Elisabeth cathedral as unique touristic and cultural sights of international significance2. Increase presentation and public awareness of the common history of Košice region and Transcarpathia especially on 2 cathedral monuments – historical, cultural and religious centres of the Košice region and Transcarpathia. 3. Increase tourist visits of the cathedrals and so other interesting sights by local people and visitors from region and cross-border territories of Hungary, Ukraine and Slovakia.4.Creating tourist products – extending tourist services and products, establishing partnerships for development of high quality tourism to improve social and economic development Main activities:a. Restoration works on The Holy Cross Exaltation, Greek-catholic cathedral, Uzhgorod UA and St. Elisabeth Roman-catholic cathedral, Košice SK.b. Preparation of multilingual (english, slovak, ukrainian) presentation publication.c. Final project conference. Achievements: Preserved of fresco paintings requiring restoration works of the Uzhgorod Cathedral of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross – seat cathedral of the Mukachevo Greek-Catholic Diocese.2. Preserved of the ruining parts of invaluable cultural and historical monuments – Western portal of St. Elisabeth Cathedral in Košice (archdiocese cathedral). 3. 3 lingual mutual presentation material on common history, the territories and their cathedrals as a unique sight for visitors.
