Határon Átnyúló Együttműködések Kialakítása Magyarországi És Szlovákiai Szakképző Intézmények Között / Vytváranie cezhraničnej spolupráce medzi maďarskými a slovenskými odbornými vydelávacími inštitúciami (Partnerships in vocational education)
Date du début: 31 août 2011, Date de fin: 30 mai 2012 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Although with the accession of Hungary and Slovakia to the European Union the border between the two countries can be crossed easily, previous research shows that cross-border partnerships and projects are still almost non-existent in the field of vocational education. Also, the participation rate in international mobility programs (e.g. Leonardo) from these two countries is very low (e.g. in 2006 the Leonardo program had 1870 participants from Hungary, 1170 from Slovakia, while there were 8000 participants from France and 14000 from Germany, source: EC), and these programs do not result in regional cooperation, the typical target-countries of mobility programs being those of Western-Europe.Therefore, in order to foster regional integration and improve the competitiveness of the region, the aim of the present project is to generate cross-border cooperation in the field of vocational education by providing the neccessary knowledge and opportunity for developing partnerships and joint projects.During the 10 months of the project we will organize seminars, and workshops that will help the representatives of vocational education institutions meet each other, develop cross-border partnerships, learn to cooperate, and also gain the necessary knowledge to develop cross-border projects. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn about the educational system and labor market of the other country, about best practices in cross-border cooperation, about the opportunities to finance joint projects, and also to gain experience in working together in activities coordinated by experts. Achievements: Although with the accession of Hungary and Slovakia to the European Union the border between the two countries can be crossed easily, previous research shows that cross-border partnerships and projects are still almost non-existent in the field of vocational education. Therefore, in order to foster the regional integration and improve the competitiveness of the region, the aim of the present project was to generate cross-border cooperation in the field of vocational education by providing the necessary knowledge and opportunity for developing partnerships and joint projects.
