The objective is to increase co-operation with the Karelian Republic and to bring about smooth border formalities at the Uukuniemi border-crossing point as regards events, programme services and passenger traffic.The development objective of the project is to establish networking, globalisation and utilisation of tourism in co-operation by operators at the areas Lake Pyhäarvi, which is situated in the territory of two states. The immediate objective of the project is to create the framework for joint networks, market analyses and for the development of programme service products. Marketing and services will be targeted at tourists interesting in fishing and other programme services which make use of the waterway.
