Our school, 2nd Junior High School of Xylokastro, submitted an application for the action of KA1 ERASMUS+ - Mobility for educational purposes (Learning Mobility for School Staff Education) which was approved with the number: 2014-1-EL01-KA101-000108. The plan of the application included the education of seven teachers who would attend seminars of two weeks including the following:A.The first team included three teachers (Smirni Sophia PE 04.02, Britsas Charilaos PE 03 and Esmerlis Nicholaos PE 20) who attended the seminar “Action Methods Improving Motivation and Quality in the Learning Environments”. The date of the seminar was from 12th October 2014 to 18th October 2014. The place of the seminar was Lisbon, Portugal. B.The second team included four teachers who attended the seminar “Group Dynamics and social skills in the classroom“. The teachers attending the seminar were: Damala Anastasia PE 02, Klimentioti Dimitra PE 15, Bokola Georgia PE 02, Syrigou Androniki PE 06. This seminar was scheduled to take place at the end of August 2014 but due to the delay of the Contract being signed, the seminar finally took place from 22nd February to 28th February 2015. The place of the seminar was Rome, Italy. The aim of the programme was to succeed in making our school “a learning organism which shares its knowledge”, meaning that every action aimed at Learning in its wide sense. Thus, we were all taught, the headmaster and the teachers, the students and their parents, the helping staff. The decision which teachers would attend the seminars was taken after the Educational Staff decision (Staff decision: 28/12-3-2014) and teachers were also chosen according to their teaching subject and according to the whole number of the teachers in the school. The aim was to be given to the school the opportunity to put in action a plan for the whole school year not only with the participation of each teacher on his / her teaching subject but also with putting in action the interdisciplinarity process. The activities which took place during the learning mobility abroad included daily seminars for a week, with emphasis on intercultural dialogue workshops, communication through games and creativity, drama workshops, creative and student-centered teaching, school visits, visiting and getting to know the host place. The impact of the project was to reduce school drop-out, the development of a positive atmosphere in school, the promotion of the professional development of teachers and the development of creative relations among all members of the school community as well as the dissemination of the results to society. This was achieved by applying an action plan at school that included the drafting and implementation of lesson plans, solving problems constantly arise in one part, the actualization of workshops for teachers of the local community. All these were based on methods and techniques gained by teachers who participated in mobility but also the mobilization and involvement of all members of the school community. Further dissemination of the results sought with suggestions and making workshops in national and international conferences.
