Our Project, which will be carried by Mustafa Asim Primary School, is called as ‘Every pupil is important’. Project activities are designed as 12-months. Within the Project, there is a mobility activity called “Current Issues in Education- Early School Leaving” organised by course provider INTERNATIONAL TELF.
The Project is prepared because of the reasons such as early marriage, child labour, seasonal labour migration, lack of readiness level on family education, lack of interest of parents and students towards school, prevalance of early school leaving. Besides these, important reasons for this project are the inadequacy of the information of the school staff on reducing early school leaving, the inexperience on methods and strategies to solve possible problems, the lack of academic information for individuals at risk. Therefore, with the help of this project our basic outcomes are to provide professional support to parents and students who don’t access to schools for some reasons to accessto and attendance in school, to develop appropriate strategies and analyse environmental risk process and analysis fort he disadvantaged individuals(Rumanian, migrants, etc), to include the target group of the Project in the education process by providing psychological support, to help to destroy possible prejudices of active European citizenship by raising awareness, to create a possitive curiosity to learn foreign languages for participants, to emphasize the themes of international respect and tolerance, to improve ICT and communication skills of teachers.
6 participants will be included within the project activities abroad. The established commission will determine the participants who have at least B level of knowledge in English, who have works on projects and experience of Europe by interview two months before the mobility activity. Project activities are planned as preparation period (language course, pedagogical preparation) and dissemination of the project activities during and after the course. At the end of the Project, aquired knowledge, manners and attitudes will change our school trend for the future. With the data gained by the project activities, the lacks of our school on the Project topic will be largely resolved. Our school will have achived significant improvements in school attendance of students. İn the long term, with the dissemination of the project results, the project’s output (books, magazines, posters, brochures, website, etc) will be sent to all schools with the help of Hendek Ministry of Education. At the end of the Project, the awareness about the project of the schools will have been stimulatedsignificantly with the seminars and workshops held throughout Hendek district.
