Δραματοποίηση ευρωπαϊκών παραδοσιακών παραμυθιών και μύθων
Date du début: 1 juin 2015, Date de fin: 31 mai 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Our goal was to create a project on the eTwinning platform and integrate newly acquired knowledge and techniques in the project’s activities. As yet, the participating teacher participated in the seminar at the end of March 2016 and not August 2015 as planned, when we applied for grant, there was not enough time to carry out from the start an eTwinning project from the scratch that deals with the dramatization of European fairy tales and myths, as we had planned at first. Therefore, the knowledge gained from the teacher training was implemented in an existing eTwinning project, with the title 'Playroom' , with great success. The activities which drama techniques were implemented in, were carried out during the last two months of the project in purpose, and after the training, in order to prevent to be implemented within the current school year. The total duration of the project was 8 months. Our students learned about other European cultures, through a "journey" which designed themselves and dramatized under the guidance of the teacher. So did our partners with the constant guidance of the teacher of our school. Furthermore, students of all participating schools found many common elements and roots through the games they played and shared. Through the implemented activities, the participating students "learned how to learn", without using the traditional teaching process. Children developed respect for foreign cultures, they cultivated the meaning of equality, multiculturalism and diversity. There was also incorporation of drama lessons, drama techniques and dramatic play in the curriculum so that the lesson become more "digestible" and pleasant. The children came in contact with cultures of other countries and experienced through dramatization techniques too many elements of these cultures. We achieved our goal to eliminate any prejudices children may have towards other cultures and religions. Be aware that although all the participating students have different cultures, there are many similarities except for the differences. This project contributed to the overall progress of the students towards the objective to become an active European citizen, free from prejudices, informed and trained in European values. Also, the learning process improved and developed further and the dissemination of information and the application of knowledge acquired, contributed to our effort to improve our educational organization. The enthusiasm shown by the children of this change in the learning process was really impressive. They were asking for more activities of this kind, giving them an incentive for more active participation and involvement in teaching subjects. Still, the interest of the partner teachers involved in the project was significant, asking as many details as possible for the proper conduct of the activities and integration of drama techniques in their everyday teaching. Plus, our students, with the incorporation of the dramatization process actively involved in the learning and assessment process. Therefore, critical and systemic thinking, self-motivation, the commitment, initiatives and actions of the students gradually grow. Moreover, an important basis for the development of future partnerships created with European partners. Our goal is for the next school year, to implement a project on the dramatization of traditional European fairy tales and myths, as it was originally planned but we could not conduct during the school year 2015-2016, due to tecnical reasons.
