Poo Europeo della Conoscenza [European Pole of Knowledge - Europole] is a National Network of Educational Institutions for Pedagogical Research and Innovation in Europe. It is a non-profit public body administered by the Istituto Comprensivo Bosco Chiesanuova. The network includes several hundred institutions and educational organizations: schools, universities, VET schools, municipalities, civil society organizations, cultural associations.
Europole has 20 years of experience of EU projects and activities in all the fields of education and research from ICT to robot ethics into any kind of educational field or VET. Europole’s pedagogical staff works and research for innovation in various fields: from early childhood education to special needs, from working on curricula for immigrants in prison to university of third age senior learners. One of the main field of activity of the network in the last years has been the educational robotics focused on the prosocial values and human rights. Among the members of the network there are Associations, Cooperatives, Institutes and special need teachers that work with disabilities, promoting innovative inclusive educational strategies, in order to ensure the full inclusion of persons with disabilities in the society, no matter their age. Europole staff is well experienced in intercultural and professional learning.
Europole includes and collaborates with other national networks in the educational field and coordinates and is a member of four European networks funded by the European Commission.
